Licensure and Certification Opportunities Related to the MA in Psychology
Students who enroll in The New School鈥檚 MA in Psychology are eligible to enroll in the program鈥檚 optional Concentration in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling
(CMHSAC). They may also be eligible to apply for admission to The New School鈥檚 PhD in Clinical Psychology. Please note that the MA in Psychology is not a standalone professional degree leading to licensure.
The CMHSAC and the PhD in Clinical Psychology have been designed to meet educational requirements that are specific to the State of New York.
